Paneer lababdar Recipe

Paneer lababdar is a paneer recipe which actually tasted very rich and flavourful. It taste delicious served with rotis, parathas and naans. Creamy, rich and lot of flavours. Grated paneer makes it more thicker and creamier.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp oil.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 5-6 cloves
  • 5-6 peppercorns
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 inch ginger
  • 10-12 garlic
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 4 chopped tomato
  • 2 green chilli
  • 10-12 cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp melon seeds
  • Salt

For gravy

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp fenugreek leaves
  • 50 gms grated paneer
  • 250 gms paneer cubes
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh cream

DESCRIPTION

  1. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, cloves, peppercorns, green cardamom, bayleaf, dry red chilli, cinnamon stick and saute few seconds.
  2. Add ginger, garlic, green chilli, onion and saute till onions turns slight brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and saute 1 min.
  4. Add cashew nuts, melon seeds and salt and mix well.
  5. Add 1 cup water and cover and cook for 12-15 mins.
  6. Cool the mixture completely once it’s cooked and tomatoes soften.
  7. Discard bay leaf and blend into puree.
  8. In a pan heat oil and butter and add kashmiri red chilli powder and saute few seconds(do not burn).
  9. Add prepared puree and mix well.
  10. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and water and mix well.
  11. Cover and cook for 8-10 mins.
  12. Add salt, sugar, garam masala, Fenugreek leaves and mix well.
  13. Add grated paneer and mix well.
  14. Add paneer cubes and mix well.
  15. Add fresh cream, coriander leaves and mix well.
  16. Top with grated paneer and serve hot.
