Paneer Do Pyaza Recipe

Paneer do pyaza is a delicious sabji. This sabji tastes super good and can be served with parathas, rotis and naans. Try out this delicious paneer ki sabji.


  • 2+4 tbsp oil.
  • 1 cup diced onion.
  • 300 gms cottage cheese (paneer).
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 2 dry red chilli.
  • 2 cardamom.
  • 1 inch cinnamon.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 8 peppercorns.
  • 2 finely chopped onion.
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  • 2 tomato puree.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/4 cup whisk curd.
  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves.
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves.


  1. In a pan heat oil and add diced onions and cook for few minutes till it turns white.
  2. When turns white take it out.
  3. In the same pan add cottage cheese (paneer) and cook till it turns brown.
  4. Take it out when turns brown.
  5. In a wok heat oil and add cumin seeds, dry red chilli, cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns, bay leaf and saute for few seconds.
  6. Add chopped onion and saute till it turns brown.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well and cook few mins.
  8. Add tomato puree and mix well and cover and cook for 5-7 mins.
  9. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well.
  10. Add little water and cover and cook for 5 mins.
  11. After 5 mins oil starts releasing and whisk curd and mix well.
  12. Add dry fenugreek leaves, garam masala and mix well.
  13. Add 1/4 cup water and bring it to boil.
  14. Add fried cottage cheese (paneer) and fried onions and mix well and cook for a min.
  15. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
