Matar ki sabji without onion and garlic

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cup green peas.
  • 2 tomato.
  • 1 inch ginger.
  • 3 green chilli.
  • 3 tbsp oil.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a mixer jar add tomato, ginger, green chilli and blend into puree.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and let it splutter.
  3. Add tomato paste and saute for 5-7 mins.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
  5. Cook it till oil releases.
  6. Add green peas and mix well.
  7. Add garam masala and mix well.
  8. Add 3/4 cup water and mix well.
  9. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  10. Close the lid and cook for 1 whistle.
  11. Once pressure releases, open the lid and mix well.
  12. Serve hot.
