Karela ki sabji
This karele ki sabji is a quick sabji. Try out this recipe this will not give you that bitterness of bitter gourd. Crispy, healthy and tasty karela fry recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 grams bitter gourd.
- 3 sliced onion.
- 1/2 cup tomato pulp.
- 5-6 tbsp oil.
- 1 tsp panch phoron.
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1 tsp red chilli powder.
- 1 tsp coriander powder.
- 1 tsp dry mango powder.
- 2 tbsp Salt.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala.
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE
- Cut the bitter gourd in circles.
- Add the bitter gourd in plate and add salt and mix well.
- Cover with plate and place a heavy object over it.
- Leave it for 15-20 mins.
- After 15-20 mins squeeze excess water.
- Deep fry the bitter gourd in oil till it turns brown and crispy.
- Deep fry the onions as well till it turns brown.
- In the same oil add panch phoron and saute for a min.
- Add tomato paste and cook for 4-5 mins.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and saute till it releases oil from sides.
- Add dry mango powder and garam masala and mix well.
- Add fried bitter gourd and mix well.
- Add fried onions and mix well.
- Cook it for 5-7 mins till it turns brown and crispy.
