Corn Pulao Recipe

Corn pulao is a super quick rice recipe. It’s tastes delicious. Capsicum makes it even more flavorful. Rich and delicious corn pulao recipe at home.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup basmati rice.
  • 3/4 cup frozen corn.
  • 1/4 cup capsicum.
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter.
  • 5-6 cloves.
  • 6-7 peppercorns.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 2 black cardamom.
  • 1 star anise.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 1 inch cinnamon.
  • 1 onion.
  • 2 green chilli.
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 cup milk.
  • 1 cup water.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a bowl add basmati rice and wash it well.
  2. Drain the water and add fresh water and soak for 30 mins.
  3. In a pressure cooker heat clarified butter.
  4. Add cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, bay leaf, black cardamom, star anise and cumin seeds.
  5. Saute it for few seconds and add onion and saute for 2-3 mins.
  6. Add green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and saute few mins.
  7. Add capsicum and frozen corn and saute few mins.
  8. Add salt, garam masala and saute few mins.
  9. Add soaked rice and mix well.
  10. Add milk and water and mix well.
  11. Cook for 2 whistle.
  12. Once pressure cooker cools down open it and stir gently.
  13. Serve hot.
