Caramel Bread Pudding

Bread caramel pudding a all time favorite dessert. It’s a creamy and delicious dessert. Its a one of the easiest dessert recipe. It’s made out of bread. And it is made without egg.


  • 1/4+1/2 cup sugar.
  • 6 white bread slices.
  • 2 cups milk.
  • 1/4 cup custard powder.
  • 1/4 cup water.


  1. In a pan add 1/4 cup of sugar and let it melts.
  2. Once sugar caramelize cook for 2 mins more.
  3. Caramel darkens.
  4. Transfer it in a mould and spread it.
  5. Let it cool down at room temperature.
  6. Take bread slices and remove its sides.
  7. Grind it into crumbs.
  8. In a bowl add custard powder and water and mix it well(lumps free mixture).
  9. In a pan add milk and give it a boil.
  10. Add sugar and let it dissolve completely.
  11. Once sugar dissolve add custard mixture to it.
  12. Whisk well and cook till milk thickens.
  13. Gradually add breadcrumbs and mix.
  14. Repeat the process.
  15. Mix all the ingredients well.
  16. Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture in the mould and level the top.
  17. Tap the mould.
  18. Cover it with foil paper.
  19. Place it in steamer or kadai.
  20. Steam for about 30 mins.
  21. After 30 mins let it cool down at room temperature and then Freeze for 2 hours.
  22. After 2 hours scrape the sides and take it out in a plate.
  23. Cut and enjoy.
