Aloo Patta Gobhi Recipe

Potato Cabbage stir fry dish which is a great option to be served with Rotis or rice. It’s a simple and dry curry made out of cabbage potatoes and tomatoes. It’s a quick and dry Indian curry.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gms finely chopped Cabbage.
  • 2 tbsp oil.
  • 3 medium chopped potatoes.
  • 2 finely chopped onion.
  • 2 chopped tomatoes.
  • 2 green chilli.
  • 1 tbsp grated Ginger.
  • 1 tbsp grated Garlic.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
  • Salt.
  • 1 tsp garam masala.
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, grated Ginger, grated garlic, green chilli and saute for a min.
  2. Add chopped onion and saute till onion browns.
  3. Add chopped potatoes and cook for 2-3 mins on medium flame.
  4. Add chopped Cabbage and cover and cook for 2-3 mins on medium-low flame.
  5. Open the lid stir and mix well.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well.
  7. Cover and cook for 5-7 mins on medium-low flame.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  9. Cook till tomatoes soften, stir occasionally.
  10. Add garam masala, coriander leaves and mix well.
