Tomato Soup

Tomato soup in winter is the best thing you can have. Delicious, creamy and thick soup recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 chopped tomatoes.
  • 3 tbsp butter.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic.
  • 2 sliced onion.
  • Salt.
  • 1 tbsp sugar.
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder.
  • 1 tsp cornflour.
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a pan heat butter and add bay leaf, garlic and saute for a min or 2.
  2. Add onion and saute till it turns light brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and salt and saute 2-3 mins.
  4. Cover and cook for 10-15 mins.
  5. Once Tomatoes turns mushy switch off the glass.
  6. Let the mixture cools completely.
  7. Blend into puree.
  8. Strain the puree.
  9. Pour in the same pan and add 1/2 cup water.
  10. Add salt, sugar and black pepper powder.
  11. Add 1 tsp of cornflour in 2 tbsp water and pour in the soup.
  12. Cook for 4-5 mins on medium flame.
  13. Add fresh cream and cook 1 min.
  14. Serve hot with croutons.
