Tomato Soup
Tomato soup in winter is the best thing you can have. Delicious, creamy and thick soup recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 5 chopped tomatoes.
- 3 tbsp butter.
- 1 bay leaf.
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic.
- 2 sliced onion.
- Salt.
- 1 tbsp sugar.
- 1 tsp black pepper powder.
- 1 tsp cornflour.
- 2 tbsp fresh cream.
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE
- In a pan heat butter and add bay leaf, garlic and saute for a min or 2.
- Add onion and saute till it turns light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and salt and saute 2-3 mins.
- Cover and cook for 10-15 mins.
- Once Tomatoes turns mushy switch off the glass.
- Let the mixture cools completely.
- Blend into puree.
- Strain the puree.
- Pour in the same pan and add 1/2 cup water.
- Add salt, sugar and black pepper powder.
- Add 1 tsp of cornflour in 2 tbsp water and pour in the soup.
- Cook for 4-5 mins on medium flame.
- Add fresh cream and cook 1 min.
- Serve hot with croutons.
