Matar paneer without Onion and garlic

Matar paneer without onion and garlic recipe. It tastes Soo delicious that no one can believe that it’s made out of without onion and garlic. Creamy and rich matar paneer recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 tbsp oil.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 2 inch chopped ginger.
  • 4 green chilli.
  • 4 chopped tomato.
  • 10-12 cashew nuts.
  • Salt.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1/2 tsp sugar.
  • 1 cup frozen peas.
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 tsp fenugreek leaves.
  • 300 gms paneer.
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream.
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a pan heat oil add bay leaf, chopped ginger, green chilli and saute it for few mins.
  2. Add chopped tomato and mix well.
  3. Add salt, cashew nuts and mix well.
  4. Cover and let it cook for 5-7 mins.
  5. After 5-7 mins tomato will turn mushy, switch off the gas and let the mixture cool down completely.
  6. After cooling it blend the mixture into paste.
  7. In the same pan heat oil and add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  8. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute it for few seconds.
  9. Add paste and mix well.
  10. Add coriander powder and salt and saute it till it turns brown.
  11. Add sugar, garam masala, fenugreek leaves and mix well.
  12. Add frozen peas and mix well.
  13. Add 1/4 cup water and cover and cook for 5 mins.
  14. After cooking add 3/4 cup water and cook for 2 mins.
  15. Add fresh cream and paneer cubes and mix well.
  16. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
