Matar ki sabji

Healthy and tasty matar ki Sabji in pressure cooker. It’s a combination of onion – tomato gravy. Green peas gravy is delicious and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cup green peas.
  • 1 chopped onion.
  • 1 cup tomato puree.
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste.
  • 2 green chilli.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 2 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
  • Salt.
  • 3 tbsp oil.
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE

  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida and let it crackle.
  2. Add onion, Ginger-Garlic paste, green chilli and saute till it turns brown.
  3. Add tomato puree and mix well.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well.
  5. Cook the masala till oil releases.
  6. Once masala cooked well, add green peas and mix it.
  7. Add water and mix well.
  8. Add garam masala and mix well.
  9. Pressure cook the peas for 1 whistle.
  10. Once pressure releases open the pressure cooker and mix well.
  11. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
