Matar ki sabji
Healthy and tasty matar ki Sabji in pressure cooker. It’s a combination of onion – tomato gravy. Green peas gravy is delicious and easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 cup green peas.
- 1 chopped onion.
- 1 cup tomato puree.
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste.
- 2 green chilli.
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1 tsp red chilli powder.
- 2 tsp coriander powder.
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
- Salt.
- 3 tbsp oil.
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves.
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala.
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE
- In a pressure cooker heat oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida and let it crackle.
- Add onion, Ginger-Garlic paste, green chilli and saute till it turns brown.
- Add tomato puree and mix well.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well.
- Cook the masala till oil releases.
- Once masala cooked well, add green peas and mix it.
- Add water and mix well.
- Add garam masala and mix well.
- Pressure cook the peas for 1 whistle.
- Once pressure releases open the pressure cooker and mix well.
- Add coriander leaves and mix well.
