Caramel Bread Pudding
Bread caramel pudding a all time favorite dessert. It’s a creamy and delicious dessert. Its a one of the easiest dessert recipe. It’s made out of bread. And it is made without egg.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4+1/2 cup sugar.
- 6 white bread slices.
- 2 cups milk.
- 1/4 cup custard powder.
- 1/4 cup water.
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE
- In a pan add 1/4 cup of sugar and let it melts.
- Once sugar caramelize cook for 2 mins more.
- Caramel darkens.
- Transfer it in a mould and spread it.
- Let it cool down at room temperature.
- Take bread slices and remove its sides.
- Grind it into crumbs.
- In a bowl add custard powder and water and mix it well(lumps free mixture).
- In a pan add milk and give it a boil.
- Add sugar and let it dissolve completely.
- Once sugar dissolve add custard mixture to it.
- Whisk well and cook till milk thickens.
- Gradually add breadcrumbs and mix.
- Repeat the process.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture in the mould and level the top.
- Tap the mould.
- Cover it with foil paper.
- Place it in steamer or kadai.
- Steam for about 30 mins.
- After 30 mins let it cool down at room temperature and then Freeze for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours scrape the sides and take it out in a plate.
- Cut and enjoy.
